Our interns have been a huge asset to Conner Prairie all summer. Excited to celebrate their hard work today!

It's Indiana Intern Day and today, we’re celebrating interns past and present! This summer, Conner Prairie's interns have held roles, supporting various departments at the Museum as they gained valuable resume-building work experience while making valuable connections. Students problem solved solutions to current issues at Conner Prairie as part of their end of year presentations! These students covered subjects such as: • Removing and replacing invasive species with native plants and grasses • Soil testing, • Improving disability access while maintaining period correct aesthetics and building materials • Adding period correct displays and exhibits Improving drainage • Converting lawns to grasslands to decrease mowing costs and improve habitat and pollination We are so proud of these students! To improve the lives of individuals and families in Indianapolis, Bank of America is helping address barriers to health and jobs by investing in Conner Prairie! Through the bank’s recent investment and partnership, the grant will be used to fund our Prairieship program.   Prairieships are generously underwritten by funding from Bank of America. These paid intern positions complete project-specific work across various departments at Conner Prairie.
