The Canadian government has intervened in the ongoing labor dispute involving Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railroads. Following a lockout that began on August 22, the government issued a back-to-work order and mandated binding arbitration to resolve the conflict. The dispute, primarily over scheduling and rest period protections, had significantly disrupted rail operations, threatening supply chains across North America. 📢 Hurricane Beryl Update: Safety and Operational Notices from CPG 📢 As many of you are aware, Hurricane Beryl has made landfall in Texas. We are closely monitoring the situation and prioritizing the safety and well-being of our employees and their families. We are happy to report that as of this morning, all CPG employees in Houston are safe. However, the CPG Houston Terminal is currently without power, and we are in the process of contacting our drivers. The Port of Houston is shut down today, and no trucks are working. We have notified most customers about the delayed operations and will continue to communicate any further updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your CPG Account Manager. Please stay safe out there.
