Thank you to Wescom Credit Union and First City Credit Union for hosting a blood drive benefiting Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) at the iconic Rose Bowl. Each credit union called on its community of members and employees to donate, resulting in a big win for CHLA. When a donor gives blood, one pint can save the lives of up to two children.

When Jaydn was diagnosed with Hurler Syndrome as an infant, doctors told her family she would not live past the age of ten. With the support of Asante Foundation, her local member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Jaydn has defied the prognosis and has been able to receive weekly infusions close to home in a comfortable setting. Even though treatments are lengthy and can be uncomfortable, Jaydn looks forward to her appointments because of the amazing nurses who care for her and stock up on her favorite toys. Now, at 13 years old, Jaydn is happy and outgoing. Despite the difficulties of her condition, Jaydn lives life to the fullest. Thanks to donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Jaydn has been able to receive high-quality care close to home
