Job description:
The Senior Behavioral Health Registered Nurse administers personalized psychiatric nursing care with professionalism, efficiency, safety, compassion, and empathy. Conducting patient assessments, devising care plans, executing interventions, and assessing outcomes are key responsibilities, carried out independently within established nursing and departmental protocols, and under medical staff supervision. Upholding standards and policies while addressing the needs of physicians, patients, and staff is integral to this role. Moreover, the Registered Nurse supervises nursing care provided by paraprofessionals or team members, assuming a leadership role. Ensuring patient safety remains a priority, alongside fostering clear communication with patients, support personnel, and healthcare team members. Direct patient care is administered according to applicable standards of practice and within defined parameters.
