UPDATE: Visa/MasterCard Class Action Settlement - Deadline extended to February 4, 2025 Are you a Merchant who accepted Visa or MasterCard at any point between January 1, 2004, and January 25, 2019? If so, you are part of a class action lawsuit that resulted in a settlement of more than $5.5 billion. Dealer Merchant Services has partnered with Brownstone Recovery Group to assist our Dealers in recovering their portion of the settlement. But you must enroll, and they have extended the enrollment deadline to February 4, 2025. We just got a call from a 5-store group in Texas... They'd been talking to another merchant provider, and they just called to tell us that we were about to move forward with them. The reasons why they went with us is our training. Our white glove rollout and onboarding really helps them understand how to roll this out with all the different complexities in this space. And they realized that the other providers really just don't understand automotive. We're so excited to get to work them!

A lot of times we get to ask dealers, "Do you know how much you're spending every month, accepting credit and debit cards in your store?" Oftentimes they're not really sure. There's several reasons. Most OEM financial statements don't have a separate line on their financial statement for credit card processing expense, (even though it's one of the top 10 expenses). We've talked to dealers that said, “I think I'm spending about $5,000-$6,000 a month.” When it really turned out it was $18,000-$20,000/month.
