BUILDING WHAT MATTERS MOST

Über uns

DECADES OF SUCCESS. Founder and CEO Don Wells has always understood that the long-term success of DEW is achieved through client satisfaction. In 1997 he founded DEW on that guiding principle and a commitment to earn your trust, respect, and, ultimately, your partnership. DEW's mission is to consistently deliver the best in client services in the marketplace. In 2012, the acquisition of MacMillin, a 66-year-old construction company based in Keene, NH, allowed DEW to integrate resources, capabilities, and industry expertise while creating growth opportunities for employees. Our people are at the core of our success. With an average tenure of 15 years, growing from within is deeply ingrained within our culture. Today, DEW employs over 120 people and has become one of the region’s largest and most respected construction companies serving the northeast out of three locations - Williston, VT, Keene, NH, and Manchester, NH. Client satisfaction is the most important and fulfilling part of what we do every day.

DEW Construction is proud to partner with Dartmouth College on several of these exciting projects! We are nearing the finish line on the new Sailing Facility, which includes a boathouse and barn on Mascoma Lake in Enfield, NH. Additionally, we are conducting extensive renovations at the Collis Student Center, involving 15,000 square feet of upgrades to the front porch, landscape, and terrace to enhance its accessibility for activities and events. We are also finishing up the second phase of the Steele Hall Strobic Fans project. In the past year, we have also successfully renovated the residence of Dartmouth's President, Sian Leah Beilock, modernized the bathrooms in Parkhurst Hall, and constructed the new Library Storage and Records Management Facility. #BuildingWhatMattersMost

🎉Last Friday, we hosted a subcontractor appreciation lunch at our Bow Elementary School project in Bow, NH, to celebrate receiving our certificate of occupancy for the first phase of renovations and to recognize everyone’s hard work. 💚 🏫Staff and students are back this week and excited to use their new spaces! 🚧We’re now putting the finishing touches on the 12,850-square-foot addition, which will be handed over to the school in the coming weeks. We’re also gearing up for the second phase of renovations, starting in mid-September. This phase will include installing acoustical ceilings to improve sound quality and reduce noise, updating the lighting, upgrading fire protection and alarm systems, and making other cosmetic improvements. These updates will be completed while the school is in session, with the new addition serving as swing space. 👏 A big shoutout to our team, all the subcontractors, and The H.L. Turner Group Inc.! Everyone has done such an amazing job throughout this project, and we truly appreciate their dedication and hard work. Special thanks to Smokeshow Barbecue of Concord for the delicious lunch! Here’s to an amazing school year, everyone! 📚 #BuildingWhatMattersMost

This week, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear colleague and friend, Butch Thornton, as he embarks on the next chapter of his life—retirement. 💚 Over the past two and a half years, Butch has been a remarkable asset to DEW, bringing a unique blend of wisdom, professionalism, and positivity to everything he does. His reliability, mentorship, and support have made a lasting impact on all of us. We all wish we had met Butch sooner and that we had more time to learn from and work alongside him. Whether in the office or in the field, Butch's vibrant personality, sharp sense of humor, and thoughtful concern for his colleagues were always evident. His leadership empowered those around him, providing both guidance and the freedom to grow. As Butch officially trades in his hard hat for Hawaiian shirts, we know he'll be enjoying well-deserved days of relaxation, perhaps sipping on a spicy cucumber margarita or taking his motorcycle out for a cruise. 🏖️🍹🏍️ The impact Butch has made on both our projects and our team will be remembered long after he rides off into the sunset. 🌅 Congratulations on your retirement, Butch! Your DEW family will miss you dearly, but we wish you nothing but the best in all your future adventures. Enjoy every moment—you've earned it! 🎉👏 🥳Shoutout to KC's Rib Shack for hosting another fantastic event for DEW! Your hospitality helped make our celebration for Butch last Friday truly memorable! 🙏 💚#BuildingWhatMattersMost

🎉Today, we extend our best wishes to two of our outstanding employees as they return to school! Aiden Lund joined us this summer as a laborer, gaining valuable hands-on experience before heading back to Norwich University for his sophomore year, where he is majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Construction Management. Camryn Murphy came on board as a Carpenter Apprentice, acquiring essential skills before returning to Vermont Technical College for his senior year, where he is majoring in Construction Management. 👷♂️👷♂️ Both Aiden and Camryn have been integral members of our team, actively engaging in hands-on work in the field while learning from our seasoned professionals. Their dedication, adaptability, and strong work ethic have been evident every day. 👏 We are pleased that Aiden and Camryn will continue with DEW part-time during the school year, working during breaks and returning full-time next summer. We wish them both a successful year and look forward to their continued contributions at DEW! 💚 #BuildingWhatMattersMost

Special thanks to our volunteers, Devon Wells, Chantel Wells-Rogers, and Janelle Leduc (Nellie)! 👏🙏 💚 #BuildingWhatMattersMost #CommunityMakesUsStronger #DEWCultureClub

#𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 ✨ 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 Northfield Savings Bank VT 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞! This two-phase project transformed the former Steven & Burns salon into a state-of-the-art bank branch. In Phase I, the space was stripped down to its original core with selective demolition and abatement, revealing and preserving the original building's beautiful stone, metal, and wood. Phase II revitalized the space with new walls, ceilings, floors, doors, millwork, mechanical equipment, and lighting systems, creating a vibrant new marketplace banking hall and offices. The space is adorned with stunning artwork from local artists. This project was a great success, thanks to the dedication of many skilled tradespeople. The outstanding design was brought to life by Duncan-Wisniewski Architecture and Christine Burdick Design, LLC. Well done to all involved! 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭: This building was originally constructed in 1902 by the renowned stone mason and builder Hiram Salls for the Howard National Bank! Check out these stunning results! 🖼️✨ 📸 Ryan Bent #BuildingWhatMattersMost #ThrowbackThursday #Construction #Transformation #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork
