Developing Love Through Service Our calf program has helped many teenagers to learn how to express love. Some of our students have expressed their innate desire to help the calves survive and thrive. The experience helps young people develop responsibility. After all, they must care for their calves no matter the weather, even on days they do not feel like doing it. Our program gives opportunity for international travel through service trips. What a priceless experience that is! Here are some pictures from the recent trip to Peru. Dave, our Rec Director, summarizes it perfectly. "Traveling internationally is a process that changes us. It connects us to ourselves, our friends, our language and culture. In a backwards fashion helps us to better understand ourselves. The process of being immersed is a world much different than ours, filled with the sounds, sights, tastes and smells of a way of living beyond our own. It's this juxtaposition of ways of living which deepens our understanding that we are all connected and more similar than different. Our students have been preparing for the Variety Show, which will happen next week during Parent Seminar. Performing Arts Therapy is an important part of connecting the students back to their feelings and gives an outlet for growth and healing. We can't wait to see the show!
