The Donaldson team had a summer full of claws, clubs, and community service! Team members went back to high school at the Property Management Association (PMA) 2024 Lobster Bake at Smokey Glen Farm Barbequers in Gaithersburg, MD! The Lobster High-themed event raised funds for the PMA Community Service Council and Donaldson donated a fun "Go For a Hike"-themed auction basket for the event. Donaldson Chief Investment Officer Kevin Smith chipped in for charity at the 2024 Annual Norman Christeller Golf Classic. The event raised funds for Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP)'s Community Life programs, providing enrichment activities and homework help to students in local communities. To help team members, vendors and property staff keep cool this summer Donaldson’s senior management teamed together to form a Gatorade Brigade delivering hundreds of bottles of Gatorade to Donaldson properties. With summer in the rear-view mirror, Donaldson looks forward to opening the door to a new Fall!

Donaldson is proud to announce our July HEROs, who went above and beyond when several residents at one of our properties went without air conditioning. These team members jumped into action and arranged for a temporary unit to be brought in, kept the office open beyond normal operating hours to better respond to residents’ questions, provided regular updates to keep residents informed about the restoration timeline, extended pool hours to provide some relief from the heat, and made sure everything was working properly once the unit was installed. We are proud of the way these team members pulled together under short notice to ensure residents’ safety and comfort. Donaldson is proud of our June 2024 HERO, Mayquel Casco, Maintenance Technician at Aspen Hill Apartments. Mayquel recently helped reunite a mother and child after an afterschool miscommunication left the child unable to locate the parent. He brought the child to the Leasing Office, where team members were able to contact the parent, who was looking for the child, and quickly reunite them.
