As we close out National Aviation Week, we're also celebrating a significant milestone: 70 years of the C-130 Hercules! This aircraft holds a special place in my heart; among other roles, I had the privilege of working as a flight test engineer on the C-130J program earlier in my career. From the beginning, the C-130 Hercules has been more than just an aircraft; it’s been a symbol of innovation, resilience and adaptability. For seven decades, this remarkable aircraft has led the way in tactical airlift missions, evolving to meet the demands of our global operators. It has supported upwards of 100 different missions, which is a testament to our customer’s dedication and our unwavering commitment to staying ahead of ready. As we honor the legacy of the C-130 Hercules, we’re also looking ahead - continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in aerospace and defense. Here’s to 70 years of proven performance, and many more to come.
