We’re thrilled to have been part of East Boston Open Streets this year! Our Parent Partners shared valuable resources with the community. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local vendors, learn about services, and engage with our neighbors. Thank you to the City of Boston for transforming our streets into a vibrant space where community and joy can meet! #openstreets #boston #community

We hosted our Annual Picnic for our Active Adults! From line dancing and Qi Gong to Bingo, the day was full of fun and connection. A big thank you to our partners and special guests, Rep. Adrian Madaro, City Councilor Gabriela Coletta, and the BPD—for joining us and supporting our seniors. This event is always a highlight, and we couldn’t have asked for a more joyful day! #community #joy

What is the meaning of life? This short read won't answer that question, but it will talk about how we can rediscover shared meaning so we can answer some really big (existential even) questions together: https://lnkd.in/dhe-icnt #purpose #meaning #communityjoy #democracy #religion
This post won’t tell you the meaning of life

Thank you for highlighting our incredible teens and for all your continued support!
Experience is truly hands-on for the three PIC interns at East Boston Social Centers, a nonprofit organization that provides programming for children and seniors in the East Boston neighborhood. With their days spent playing with dolls or calming finicky toddlers, these students are learning firsthand about the joys and challenges of early childhood education. In addition to learning about early childhood education, the interns have also strengthened valuable life skills. Xzavien Larrama, a rising senior at East Boston High School, says, “I've been able to build a resume. I've been able to have more experiences. I've also been a little bit more in touch with my finances.” Read more about the interns’ experiences at East Boston Social Centers in our newest blog.

We at East Boston Social Centers are deeply honored to be recognized among the 20 organizations awarded capital funding for early education and out-of-school time program facilities. This significant investment will allow us to enhance the quality and accessibility of our learning environments, ensuring all children have safe, joyful, and inclusive spaces to thrive. We were so happy to host Commissioner Amy Kershaw, Secretary Tutwiler, , Senator Sal DiDomenico, Rep. Adrian Madaro at our center, and Director of Outdoor Recreation Paul Jahnige. It was a pleasure to have them meet the children in our programs and see firsthand the impact of their support. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important initiative and look forward to continuing our work to support the children and families of our community. At East Boston Social Centers, Commissioner Kershaw and Secretary Tutwiler announced that 20 organizations across Massachusetts are being awarded $8.5 million in capital funding to renovate early education and out-of-school time program facilities. Thanks for joining us, Director of Outdoor Recreation Paul Jahnige, Senator Sal DiDomenico, and Rep. Adrian Madaro! This investment will support renovation projects to expand capacity and improve the indoor and outdoor quality and accessibility of learning environments for children, ensuring they have safe, healthy, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate spaces to learn, play, and grow. As part of the Administration's whole-of-government approach to addressing climate change, and in collaboration with the Climate Office, projects were prioritized that focused on clean energy and decarbonization. Projects that included security enhancements to prevent and respond to potential threats, such as active shooters and installation of security cameras and access control systems, were also prioritized.
