WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH RENOVATION – Elevated executed comprehensive rough carpentry for the renovation of Westminster Presbyterian Church’s chapel and Sunday school. Elevated’s highly silled craftspeople executed the interior framing of the two-story structure, which was designed to enhance classrooms, restrooms, and community areas and featured a new air duct platform and a concealed duct support wall within the chapel. Elevated expertly retrofitted the existing roof and floor trusses to accommodate new mechanical units and framed a robust mechanical platform. Additionally, our team completed the installation of a new building wrap and high-performance James Hardie Siding on the exterior, ensuring a strong and durable finish. Nothing like a baseball game to hit a home run in team bonding! Last week, our team spent an afternoon at the Oakland Athletics’ stadium to enjoy some well-deserved downtime together. From cheering on the A’s to sharing laughs over hot dogs and Cracker Jacks, it was the perfect mix of competition and camaraderie. GOOGLE 237 MOFFETT PARK DRIVE – Elevated worked with XL Construction on the world’s largest International Living Future Institute Living Building Challenge project. Our team utilized their rough carpentry expertise and superior craftsmanship to build a large exterior, 7,000 s.f. Machiche deck. This deck was made of sustainable and ethically sourced Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mix decking material. Elevated also installed reclaimed wood in the lobby areas of this 255,000 s.f. office building. We are incredibly proud to have worked on this project, which received awards, such as the Engineering News-Record's Excellence in Sustainability Award and Safety Award of Merit. Earlier this summer, Elevated volunteered their time to help Friends of the Oakland Public Library's Bookmark Bookstore with their big move of their bookstore, The Bookmark Bookstore, to a new larger location on Broadway in Oakland. The bookstore sells gently used books and media, with all proceeds benefiting Oakland Public Library. Our team anchored and secured their bookshelves to the floor and walls. Elevated also aided in moving around and placing some of the furniture, as well as reassembled a unique large antique book display that is now the feature fixture in their fantastic new community space. EXELIXIS 1701 HARBOR BAY PARKWAY LABORATORY TI – Elevated worked with XL Construction to complete extensive renovations to an existing 59,000 s.f. building for Exelixis The Elevated team integrated a new steel structure to support the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, as the existing roof framing was insufficient for these needs. Elevated also provided several other upgrades, including fences and a roof screen, to improve the functionality and safety of the building, allowing Exelixis to continue their work in the fight against cancer.
