Targeted recruiting practice giving high-growth organizations access to the top candidates in their field.

About us

Emblem Search is a targeted outbound recruiting practice focused on the unique needs of early-stage startups and growth organizations. We find and engage the most in-demand sales, marketing, product, and engineering candidates from the exact industries or growth stages our clients require. The candidate market has undergone a massive shift in the past couple of years. Hype-based messaging is no longer a viable recruiting strategy. Top performers in any field are being constantly approached with compelling and well-compensated opportunities, and these people expect more direct, thorough, and business-minded communication to cut through the static. Pitching to the cream of the crop nowadays is more akin to pitching a VC for funding, and for them it’s always a candidate’s market regardless of broader economic conditions. We’ve successfully run entry-level through C-Suite searches within every technical and GTM department, on behalf of pre-seed/pre-revenue startups through late-stage/mezzanine organizations, within a range of software, services, and physical product segments including Developer Tools, Direct-to-Consumer eComm, Apparel, Security, Geospatial, Fintech, Gaming, 3d Printing, BPO, and Marketing/Creative. If you’re struggling to find the right person for your team, or you feel you’re just not getting access to or traction within the top 1% of performers, we'd love to speak with you.

This is going to sound crazy. Some of your most effective business development will feel like you’re doing someone else’s job. Hear me out. Forming great connections in your network involves doing things to provide value for others regardless of what’s immediately in it for you. This could be valuable introductions for them, could be useful info from your area of expertise regarding their business, etc. When you start making these types of value-giving activities a serious priority on a daily basis, it shouldn’t come as a surprise when people think of you if there’s work they can pay you to do instead of paying your competitor. Look for scalable ways to help out as many new people as you can. Right when you feel like you’re spending more time on this “value-giving” stuff versus running an airtight sales cadence, you’ll probably start to see new business come in from places you didn’t expect. #businessdevelopment #sales #networking #startup #fundraising #recruiter
