Last week, our Summer Interns had an inspiring tour of the Envision Arts Gallery! 🎨 The gallery is a premier national destination for artists and audiences who are blind, visually impaired, and/or disabled. Their mission is to empower these amazing individuals to exhibit, perform, and engage our community through an accessible, diverse, and inclusive space for the arts. Our team was thrilled to experience the current displays: Colors of the Wind by George Mendoza and the American Tapestry Alliance, a group exhibition featuring participants from the American Tapestry Alliance.

An iconic piece of Wichita history, the Keeper of the Plains, is now part of our ever-growing art gallery. It’s the 66th hand-painted replica created as part of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce on Parade project. It’s also the 2nd Keeper to come from the creative mind of local artist and Wichita native, Elisabeth Owens. Owens said she was inspired by the diversity of our city, both now and historically speaking. We were proud to host the artist, the Wichita Chamber, and several special guests to its unveiling yesterday afternoon.
