Timothy Koo, MD, is joining Essen Health Care as the COO of House Calls, where he will oversee care delivered to the NY Metro homebound population as well as those in Essen's Accountable Care Organization. In this role, he will work to expand Essen's care delivery model to ensure that its patients receive comprehensive care for all their home needs. Dr. Koo most recently served as an Associate Partner in the Healthcare Practice at McKinsey & Company, where he provided advisory support for hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and ambulatory care organizations. His experience spans corporate and business-unit strategy, performance transformations, clinical operations effectiveness, and M&A. Dr. Koo has over a decade of experience as a practicing emergency medicine physician in the South Bronx. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife and daughter.

With nearly four decades of healthcare experience, Chip brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this critical position. His proven ability to navigate complex corporate landscapes will be instrumental as we strengthen our relationships with key stakeholders, enhance public and community relations, and uphold Essen’s reputation. In addition to his new role, Chip will continue to work closely with the Board and will have direct oversight of Essen’s Legal, Compliance, IT, and Logistics divisions, ensuring these essential areas align with our strategic objectives.
