Here’s an exploration of these challenges and a perspective on optimal management strategies: • Economic Scale and Compliance: While owning/operating pipelines may be the most cost-effective route to connect RNG to broader markets in many cases, the associated regulatory and operational demands can be disproportionately high, especially when pipeline operations are not at the core of their business. • Operational Efficiency vs. Staffing Challenges: For many RNG operators, the scale of their operations does not justify the overheads associated with maintaining a specialized in-house team.
