Who knew failure could be good for you? At least, that’s what people with a “growth mindset” believe. Last week, at Exactera’s two-day Leadership Development Forum, 20-ish rising stars gathered for exciting discussions like this one, led by Adam Wieczorek, about “fixed” vs “growth” mindsets. Based on Carol Dweck Goldman’s book, “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success,” the riveting talk was part book group, part college seminar, and part corporate training. Turns out, failure is just a steppingstone to success—if you have a growth mindset, that is. If not, good news: It’s never too late to develop one.
