The Safe Child ID program is a community safety initiative that provides an ID Card recording the height, weight, hair color, eye color, fingerprints and a photograph of your child, which can be used by authorities in the event that a child goes missing. Family Service League is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, which provides behavioral health services for adults who have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. The ACT program is comprised of a multi-disciplined team including skilled staff in psychiatry, nursing, and social work. Here are some wonderful moments from our Operation Success Summer Extension in Riverhead - made possible by a generous grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation! This program provides academic support during the summer to vulnerable children in order to facilitate their education and retention of information. Children are selected for participation by the district. Additional activities included horseback riding, presentations by the LI Science Center, reading competitions, and journaling! Our hotline is a critical and impactful community resource for those experiencing suicidal thoughts, severe addiction issues or a mental health crisis. On behalf of the thousands of community members we serve, my thanks to Fidelis Care for its dedication to helping those in need." Family Service League (FSL), serving children and adults in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, offers more than 60 programs that include integrated care, addiction treatment, emergency housing, at-risk youth services, trauma counseling, and senior and caregiver support.
