Returning from the National Sexual Assault Conference #NSAC in D.C. has left our staff feeling fired up and ready to further support our community! This year's theme was "Respect Together" with a variety of trainings and sessions on supporting diverse communities, human trafficking, working in tandem with community partners, and so much more.

We enjoyed a great visit today with Senator Van Hollen - discussing the state of mental health in our region and sharing information about our services. We appreciate Senator Van Hollen’s support and interest in mental health and the work of our agency. Other guests in attendance included For All Seasons Co-Founder, Karen M. Kaludis, Esq., Scott Warner, Executive Director Mid-Shore Regional Council; Cassandra VanHooser, Talbot County Economic Development and Tourism Director; Holly DeKarsk Easton Economic Development Director; County Council Member, Keasha Haythe, Ward 1; Council Member Maureen Curry, Ward 4; Council Member Rev. Elmer Neal Davis Jr.; Council President Frank Gunsallus; and representatives from offices of Senator Cardin, and Congressman Harris and Comptroller Lierman. During the exit conference, we received a "ZERO Recommendation" end-of-survey report - an achievement that less than 3% of the 80,000 CARF-accredited agencies across the globe receive.
