Senja Christopherson, the director of inpatient nursing at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, has seen firsthand the improvements and support that the community hospital has received since being acquired by HCA Healthcare in March 2020. She shares that the healthcare network helped the hospital through a global pandemic, record-low temperatures and flooding and ensured that colleague and patient needs were met while improving technology and equipment along the way. "We have counted on HCA Healthcare to meet the needs of our patients in Rochester and the Seacoast communities — even under difficult circumstances," Christopherson said. "With a more than 40-year track record of providing care in New Hampshire, we rely on HCA Healthcare for all the resources we need to provide high-quality care for our patients and to take care of our staff. HCA continuously invests in the hospital. In less than five years, we’ve been able to launch a neurospine surgery program, new behavioral health services, state-of-the-art breast imaging center and a new inpatient acute rehabilitation center." Ramsay will talk about our Partial Hospitalization Program – an outpatient program designed to provide adults with coping techniques to help manage the complexities of stress, anxiety, depression and other behavioral health symptoms -- and will provide tools anyone can use in daily life to help manage stress. Healthy Conversations will be held at 6 pm Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the Strafford Conference Center at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, 11 Whitehall Road, Rochester, NH. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required, and refreshments will be served.
