Gateway CSB's mission is to be a leader in the provision of comprehensive community services for mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disorders and disabilities to the people and communities it serves. Gateway helps individuals, families, and communities improve their health and wellness, direct their own futures and strive to reach their full potential by providing mental health and substance abuse counseling and IDD services as well as Peer Support, Supportive Employment, Permanent Supportive Housing and our Homeless programs.

Dr. Ashley Allen is our new CEO and we couldn't be more excited! Her leadership, skills and compassion to serve will be the catalyst to further organizational growth!
We are pleased to announce that Ashley Allen has been appointed as the new CEO of Gateway Community Service Board (CSB) effective July 1, 2024, by DBHDD Commissioner Kevin Tanner. Ashley brings nearly 17 years of leadership experience in the behavioral health sector in Pennsylvania and Georgia, most recently serving as Gateway CSB’s COO. She holds a Doctor of Social Work in Administrative Leadership from the University of Kentucky and both undergraduate and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Georgia. Ashley’s proven leadership and dedication to the behavioral health community will help drive significant improvements in care for coastal Georgia. This transition follows the passing of former CEO Dr. Mark Johnson. Special thanks to Gateway CFO David Crews for his exemplary leadership during this transitional period. Gateway CSB has been an excellent partner in DBHDD’s mission to provide comprehensive services for mental health, substance use disorders and developmental disorders. We look forward to working with Ashley and her team to roll out new initiatives this fall.
