Let me tell you the story about the latest upgrades to our flagship program, The Catalyst's: Training of Trainers learning program (82 hours cohort). We've transformed the learning design to be more social and impactful through an enhanced gamification system, encouraging learners to dive deeper into the experience, collaborate more, and push their learning boundaries.
The Power of 3️⃣ Tools:
Discord:
💠Virtual Economy: We created an entire virtual economy where learners earned gold & experience points upon actions related to the learning experience and the assignments included.
💠Interactive Learning: Learners could use gold to buy books, papers, and articles from the program's created shop.
💠Team Collaboration: Learners formed guilds within rival teams, working together to maximize their resources.
💠Engaging Activities: Reinforcing questions updated every 1-2 weeks, with private automated feedback and they even played built in games on the platform.
💠AI Assistance: Three programmed AI characters helped with research, design, and moderation. Plus with image generation, interaction, feedback and more.
💠Social Interaction: Informal meetups on Discord allowed learners to discuss and support each other, enhancing their learning experience.

💠ELearning: Our favorite visual communication tool enabled a variety of e-learning creations.
💠Interactive Games: Escape games reinforced learning during synchronous sessions.
💠Collaboration Boards: Used for learners to work together during in-class assignments and even for asynchronous project, like: the design map document.
💠Engaging Events: We created part of the gamification flow, what we call: "Random events". Which are events that kept learners engaged throughout the experience by performing different actions & challenges related to their skills practice.
💠Quest Series: We created part of the gamification flow as well, a big challenge called: "A Whistle in the White Peaks". Which offered a narrative-driven series of quests, expanding learners' knowledge and insight, earning them gold and experience points.
Dedicated LMS:
💠Central Hub: The LMS served as the base camp, housing all content, videos, assignments, feedback, projects, and more.
💠Seamless Integration: It tied together the physical classroom, virtual environment, and asynchronous content into one cohesive, socially gamified learning experience.
By leveraging these tools, we've created a blended learning environment that is not only educational but also fun and engaging, pushing learners to reach new heights.
