Gestamp's Regional Team Members celebrated Earth Day by volunteering at Stage Nature Center a preserve located in Troy, MI. The team pulled 15 bags of Garlic Mustard, an invasive species that emerges in early spring, blocking sunlight and out-competing for nutrients and moisture for the native species which can impact the entire ecosystem. Stage Nature Center is a hidden gem in Troy that offers hiking trails and programs for all ages. Celebrating milestones of Gestamp in West Virginia!
Director of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs - Gestamp North America
Senator of West Virginia Joe Manchin honored Gestamp being the keynote speaker at the anniversary event of our South Charleston WV plant, where the company announced a $69.5 million investment in state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture electric vehicle metal components. The West Virginia Department of Economic Development awarded Gestamp a $7.5 million public incentive to support this strategic decision, which will create 100 additional jobs and take the local headcount up to 500 employees. A big shout-out to our associates and Gestamp US leadership, who made us proud showing our visitors their knowledge, and a special thank you to our distinguished guests, including Executive Director of the WVDED Michael Graney, Director of Economic Development of the office of Senator Shelley Moore Capito Jennifer Piercy, and the Head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Washington José Luis Kaiser.
