Girl Scouts of Citrus Council is a not-for-profit organization chartered in 1956 - following the founder Juliette Gordon Low's guidelines - serving girls throughout Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties since 1956. In Girl Scouting positive female leaders are the norm, not the exception. We help more than 16,000 girls a year in the Central Florida area to be their very best! One out of every seven girls in our area is a Girl Scout. The council is a charter member of Girl Scouts of the USA- the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls - all girls - and a member of the following United Ways:

Come visit our newest exhibit at the Women’s History and Cultural Center and get an in-depth look on all of the projects. The self-guided exhibit, “Going Gold: A Celebration of Girl Scouts’ Highest Award,” is open Mon-Thu from 10am-3pm at our Citrus Council offices (341 N Mills Ave, Orlando). • ⭐ Meet Lauren Benson, #gsGoldAward recipient, Class of '24! ⭐ Underprivileged patients are often given a paper gown to wear when they are released from the hospital. Usually, their original clothes are ripped, destroyed, or otherwise in poor condition. Lauren built a closet for the hospital that would both store and properly organize extra clothing items or donations. You can learn more about Lauren's project at our newest exhibit at the Women’s History and Cultural Center, “Going Gold: A Celebration of Girl Scouts’ Highest Award.” The exhibit is open Mon-Thu from 10am-3pm at our Citrus Council offices (341 N Mills Ave, Orlando). When you visit, don't forget to grab a coupon for a free scoop with our partners, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream.

  • ⭐ Meet Jessica Hodson, #gsGoldAward recipient, Class of '24! ⭐ Jessica set out to provide a safe habitat for the endangered Migratory Monarch Butterflies. The butterfly garden is located at Boys Town, a care center working to combat child abuse and neglect. Not only does the garden allow a habitat for the butterflies to thrive, but it also gives the residents of Boys Town a place to relax, socialize, and learn gardening skills. You can learn more about Jessica's project at our newest exhibit at the Women’s History and Cultural Center, “Going Gold: A Celebration of Girl Scouts’ Highest Award.” The exhibit is open Mon-Thu from 10am-3pm at our Citrus Council offices (341 N Mills Ave, Orlando). • ⭐ Meet Frances Yong, #gsGoldAward recipient, Class of '24! ⭐ The national speech and debate circuit is made up of only 43% women - likely due to the “structures within speech and debate that specifically disadvantage young girls...” like judges favoring deeper voices. Frances aimed to address these barriers by hosting a debate camp for young girls, ages 12-14, teaching not only the fundamentals of debate, but also how to use their voice for advocacy. You can learn more about Frances' project at our newest exhibit at the Women’s History and Cultural Center, “Going Gold: A Celebration of Girl Scouts’ Highest Award.” The exhibit is open Mon-Thu from 10am-3pm at our Citrus Council offices (341 N Mills Ave, Orlando). When you visit, don't forget to grab a coupon for a free scoop with our partners, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream.

You can learn more about Emily's project at our newest exhibit at the Women’s History and Cultural Center, “Going Gold: A Celebration of Girl Scouts’ Highest Award.” The exhibit is open Mon-Thu from 10am-3pm at our Citrus Council offices (341 N Mills Ave, Orlando).
