Middle School Program Coordinator As our Middle School Program Coordinator, you will: 🌟 Plan and execute daily program activities. 🌟 Create and manage personalized success plans for students. 🌟 Engage with participants, parents, and volunteers. 🌟 Manage social media to promote our programs and support fundraising. 🌟 Provide support and mentorship to middle school students. 2. Fundraising & Community Engagement Coordinator As our Fundraising & Community Engagement Coordinator, you will: 🌟 Write and track grant proposals with the Executive Director. 🌟 Develop and manage strategies for grant requests and reporting. 🌟 Plan and coordinate the annual “Birthday Bash” and other events. 🌟 Manage volunteer onboarding and appreciation events. 🌟 Cultivate relationships with partners, volunteers, and donors. 🌟 Create and distribute a monthly newsletter and manage social media content. 🌟 Organize and update administrative documents and the Operations Manual. You go, GirlUp GVL! 👏✨ 🤝 We're proud to collaborate with GirlUp GVL to create spaces where girls can thrive and grow together. Rebecca Hayes, GirlUp's In-School Program Coordinator, leads bi-weekly groups to more than 100 CIS students at Berea Middle School, Berea High School, and Carolina High School that are focused on building connections, leadership skills, and self-reflection. 🗣 "We have enjoyed creating relationships with students and giving them a safe space within their school to strive to be their best selves and foster community with their peers," says Rebecca. 🗣 "In-School group helped me to not feel so alone in some of the emotions I feel and it gives me a space where I don't feel judged for saying how I feel and why I feel that way," said one of the students who participates in the program. 🫶 We know students fare best when the caring adults in their lives unite their efforts to support them. The Junior League of Greenville is excited to announce the recipients of this year's Capacity Building Grants! 📣 Soteria Community Development Corporation: $15,000 to support the salary for a part-time caseworker to help formerly incarcerated women transition into society 📣 TRIUNE MERCY CENTER: $10,000 to support a part-time caseworker focused on transitioning homeless individuals and families in crisis into long-term affordable housing 📣 GirlUp GVL: $10,000 to support its seven-week paid summer internship program that gives teenage girls real-world work experience 📣 NICHOLTOWN CHILD AND FAMILY COLLABORATIVE: $10,000 for two targeted programs: the Nurturing Skills for Young Parents Program (ages 13-24) and the Parent Cafe 📣 Greenville Free Medical Clinic: $5,000 to help move the Greer satellite to a new agency/multi service center with greater capacity. These two high schoolers attended the Powerful Women’s Summit at @BMW this past Saturday. They enjoyed it so much and had the following thoughts to share: "It was powerful to connect and talk with women who have achieved so much! It was amazing talking to a woman working in the field I want to work in. I loved hearing their different stories and being able to relate to them." We are so glad they were able to connect with so many powerful women and cannot wait to see what they do in the future!
