Vice President of Sales & Success @ Glean. Entrepreneurial operator. GTM leader. Team builder. Culture builder. Company builder.

Make it better and make it together. Level up Growth mindset Growth and coaching culture Collaborative tension Luck mindset This was my key message during Glean’s 2H Kickoff (GKO) we are hosting in beautiful Lake Tahoe right now. I’ve always been inspired to be authentic and I was yesterday delivering these messages to our 250+ strong GTM organization. Matt Kixmoeller, MP Eisen, Neboysa Omcikus, Michael Miao, and I brought the energy yesterday to inspire, motivate, and drive collaborative tension with our teams as we chart and execute on our path to a successful 2H. The engagement everyone in our GTM organization was incredible. Everyone was dialed in whether it was Day 1 new hires or whether it was OGs like Joshua Chang, Paloma Ochi, Katya Alfaro-Serassio, Ryan R. Russell, Nicole McKelvey, and Lauren Kennedy. THANK YOU! The other key message I delivered was: Product, People, Position. This is a framework that helps guide career decisions and what led me to Facebook, then Slack, and now Glean. It’s also a framework for on the job enablement that helps drive success. On the last point, the most successful people at Glean (and every company) — the ones crushing quota, driving faster time to value, and creating impactful messaging — are the ones that deeply understand the Product they are selling or driving and therefore bring confidence and expertise to prospects and customers they engage with. Blair Hanley Frank (another OG) and I spent a bunch of time talking about this at the breaks and close of Day 1. If you work at Glean and you are listening here, go become a Product expert. It’s postively correlated with every top performer here at Glean. The side benefit is that you will also be way more productive because Glean’s product is all about making you more productive! Quite meta, I know. We have 2 more days enjoying this beautiful place. Bring it and Let’s Go! Oh btw - we are hiring for 300+ open positions across GTM and R&D so if you know someone please refer them to us or reach out! Check out the great vibes from our Welcome Reception last night.

Last week I mentioned an upcoming Glean hackathon. The hackathon we had earlier this week was a unique opportunity to champion GenAI– building on our own product, and pair technical folks with non-technical folks (great tip from Claire Vo & Tamar Yehoshua) to maximize the potential of what can be done with Glean. I’m a builder at heart, so seeing the entire company—from R&D to sales and marketing—come together to build and create was inspiring. The blend of perspectives fueled creativity and led to some really exciting and innovative solutions. It’s something we plan to replicate regularly… I love seeing these ideas come to life and witnessing the efforts of our talented team! If you’re curious about what we were building, sign up for our upcoming event Glean GO: Fall ‘24, and I’ll share more on the hackathon outcomes soon: https://bit.ly/3T0ezF4 For now, enjoy some photos our team captured at our hackathon:

As an engineer, you’re always looking for ways to increase your productivity in order to ship things faster. We caught up with Lauren Zhu, one of our software engineers working on our AI Assistant to share how she uses Glean to search less and ship more. 🚀 1️⃣ Staying updated on recent and upcoming product launches  Navigating through all of the noise across Slack, Google Drive, and Atlassian Jira can be overwhelming. With Glean, I can quickly get up to speed on all the relevant conversations and documents for a particular feature. 2️⃣ Resolving on-call issues quickly  I always want to speed up the debugging process when I’m on-call. It’s so easy to search in Glean and find the most relevant Atlassian Jira tickets, GitHub PRs, and Slack discussions related to the issue at hand using a prompt like: "How do I debug <Jira server validation error>?" 3️⃣ Finding experts Glean’s expert search helps me identify and connect with internal subject matter experts relevant to any topic. In this case, I was looking for an expert on our LLM providers, and was able to find it quickly to assist with my work on the Assistant! 4️⃣ Developing on our backend Accessing the right information to develop on specific areas of the stack can be a challenge for engineers if we don’t have a full view. I can make a fast and informed decision with Glean parsing through GitHub, Glean Answers, and Confluence to provide code snippets, playbooks, and answers written by other engineers.

    • How Lauren Z, a Glean engineer, used Glean today
Caught up on recent/upcoming product launches
2. Resolved on-call issues quickly
3. Found experts on semantic search
4. Figured out what code to use to develop on our backend
