The November 5 Referendum enhances safety and security at secondary schools. The projects would include front entrance/office remodels, requiring visitors to enter through the office prior to entering the schools at Edison, Franklin, Lombardi, Red Smith, Washington, East, Preble, Southwest, and West. At Lombardi Middle School, the commons would be expanded, to eliminate the need for students to eat their lunch in the basement. As part of that project, the driveway and additional parking would be added to the front entrance. In addition, secondary restrooms would be remodeled at the middle and high schools to allow for greater supervision, improving academic and behavioral outcomes. 🔵 Learn more about the referendum at gbaps.referendumfacts.org. #ForwardTogether #VoteNovember5

Franklin Middle School students, staff, and local firefighters participated in the annual memorial bleacher climb to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Physical education students watched a short documentary about 9/11 and had a discussion about what they learned. After, students, staff and several members of Green Bay Metro Fire Department climbed the bleachers again and again. Some students donned gear the fire department provided, as a way to understand the challenge firefighters had on September 11. #NeverForget #GBAPSProud

He toured Jackson Elementary School, stopped by classrooms to greet students, and visited the ADA-compliant and inclusive playground. Students later joined Dr. Cardona for an assembly in the gym where they did a read-a-long in both English and Spanish, and sang a song. Thank you, Secretary Cardona, for making Jackson Elementary School your first stop! 🚌
