  • Today, we congratulate and celebrate our newest officer John Anderson, and his graduation from the Fox Valley Technical College 720-hour Police Recruit Academy on Friday, December 15, 2023. Officer Anderson was his academy’s class president and at graduation, he was awarded FVTC’s prestigious “Officer Craig Birkholz Leadership Award”, given to him by his classmates. The award memorializes Officer Birkholz who was a graduate from FVTC’s police academy, and his leadership that was left behind after he was killed in the line of duty in Fond du Lac in 2011. The award is given to those recruits who are team players, thoughtful, display positive attitude, quiet/caring, highly motivated, and a goal setter. The Green Bay Police Department is proud to have Officer Anderson, a veteran of the U.S. Army, represent the agency and community in such an honorable light. Officer Anderson begins the field training program on Monday, December 18, 2023. Welcome to the department and be safe!
