This closure is expected to be in place for approximately seven weeks. Introducing the Match and Market Program Welcome to Greenville's innovative initiative, the Match and Market Program, designed to foster collaboration between East Carolina University (ECU) students and local small businesses. This exciting 10-week program, spanning Fall 2024, aims to empower our community by leveraging student expertise in digital marketing to bolster the online presence of local enterprises. How It Works: The Match and Market Program begins with an application period from September 2nd to September 20th, 2024. During this time, ECU students passionate about marketing can apply to assist qualifying small businesses with their digital marketing needs. Selected participants will receive a weekly stipend and engage in structured activities aimed at enhancing the businesses' social media strategies. Key Program Phases: Initial Meeting (October 1st, 2024): The Business Development Division welcomes selected students into the program. Introductory Session (October 3rd, 2024): Held at City Hall or the Municipal Building, this session facilitates formal introductions and interactive activities to foster collaboration. Program Duration (October 7th - December 13th, 2024): Students will work closely with businesses to implement tailored marketing strategies, culminating in a ceremony on December 13th, 2024. Main Deliverables of the Program: Creation of an online marketing plan for the selected business Creation of a social media strategy for at least 2 digital platforms Creation of social media content Creation of a social media schedule with content topics Creation of a user manual for online marketing that business owners can follow post program completion Improved overall online presence of the business Are you a local business or an ECU student that is interested in participating? Please join the City of Greenville Neighborhood & Business Services Community Development Division for a nonprofit funding workshop for the 2025 funding year. This workshop is designed to advise and assist nonprofit organizations are required to follow these guidelines when applying for funds from the City of Greenville as sub-recipients. Any nonprofit organization planning to complete an application must attend one mandatory workshop session to be eligible to apply. Session 1 will be held on September 26 from 12-2 PM in-person in rooms 328 and 329 (3rd Floor) of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street. Session 2 will be held virtually on September 26 from 6-8PM.
