I’m stepping onto the LinkedIn stage to share a heartfelt thank you to Guidepoint and the fantastic team I’ve been lucky enough to work with as an Intern.🫶🏻 These past four months have been a monumental leap in my real-world work experience. I got to collaborate with some incredibly sharp engineers, developers, ML leads and Product managers.🧠 When I first started studying software engineering, it felt like breaking norm for me. I was advised against entering a male-dominated field because it can be harder to get employed or trusted as a woman. For the past three years, I viewed software engineering as just a way to get through life, a program I didn’t enjoy. Yet, this recent co-op turned that all around. I never thought there’d be a day I’d be excited to go to work, but I experienced that here!🩵 I didn’t just grow to like my role—I absolutely loved it. Who knew you could feel so fulfilled just by going into work you’re passionate about each day? ☺︎ The team not only valued my input but was eager to provide feedback, helping me refine my skills across the board. I’m hoping the improvements I've made were as clear to everyone else as they were to me and that my contributions positively influenced our team dynamics.✨ Honestly, if it were socially acceptable, I’d whip up a slide deck just to thank everyone properly. But considering how my demos go, I suspect it might just get me blocked for non-stop talking! I may not have been a scrum master of Jira but I think I am becoming a scrum black belt master in Learning from the greatest :)💻
