Hamilton Community Schools is a rural district located in West Michigan south of Holland and east of Saugatuck. Our well-maintained district consists of four elementary buildings (Bentheim, Blue Star, Hamilton Elementary, and Sandyview) along with one middle school, one high school, and Hamilton FLEX (Virtual, Blended, and Shared Time options). Hamilton prides itself on being a big district (135 square miles) with a small-town feel. Hamilton Community Schools is one of 18 member public school districts within the Ottawa Intermediate School District (OAISD). Our district consists of 400 employees and over 2,500 full-time students and 1,100 non-public students in a variety of programs and formats. Hamilton Community Schools is known throughout the state as a premier district balancing a small-town atmosphere with educational innovation to meet the needs of each learner. The focus on K-12 academics, work-based learning, athletics, and the arts make Hamilton a destination district. WE are HAWKEYES!

Today is the final day at Hamilton Community Schools for two icons of our district as they get set for retirement. 🖤💛 Chuck Breuker has been much more than a custodian at his alma mater for over 47 years, with a smile and word of encouragement for all students and staff. Deputy Joe Knapp has been officially serving our district as our School Resource Officer since December 2022 and has made a huge impact at HCS! Both of them have been true examples of what it means to be a Hamilton Hawkeye. We wish both of them the best in their retirement, they will be missed! #HawkeyeFamily

It's the end of an era. During lunch today at Hamilton High School, custodian Chuck Breuker announced his retirement to our students after 47 years of working at his alma mater. His last day in our district will be this Thursday, August 29. We appreciate Chuck and all of his dedication to Hamilton Community Schools over the years, he has made a great impact on so many! 🖤💛 #HawkeyeFamily

As this school year gets underway, we'd like to remind you that our staff has undergone safety and security training through the Allegan County Sheriff's Office and other local agencies. These situational trainings were extensive and we appreciate the time of all of the law enforcement who assisted around our district.
