The Initiative on Land, Housing & Property Rights at Boston College Law School is currently seeking applications for an Estate Planning Fellow. This Fellow will play a leading role in the Initiative's Homeownership Estate Planning Project, which provides estate planning assistance to disadvantaged homeowners and homebuyers in Massachusetts to help address disproportionate property loss, which contributes to the racial wealth gap. https://lnkd.in/dzDZX4Pg

The recent decrease in interest rates is equivalent to a 2 percent reduction in the price of the home, according to Daniel McCue. While that may sound significant, this year alone, the price of homes has inched up over 4.5 percent. “The bottom line: it’s not enough to kind of make up for these rising prices.” https://lnkd.in/e4K8Jdgs

Rents have become unsustainably expensive in much of the country, says Peyton Whitney. “Rents now sit almost 21% above what they were five years ago,” she said. “It’s unattainable for most households.” https://lnkd.in/dtmQSgbc
