Headworks' Screwpactor is a shafted spiral conveyor/compactor used to dewater screenings and reduce volume. The Screwpactor is very low-maintenance, only occasionally requiring lubrication of the gearbox and greasing of the bearing unit The conveyor/compactor carries Capacities as high as 106 ft/hr. Headworks International is endorsing The WIPPES Act (H.R. 2964). This new bill will require non-flushable wipes to prominently display "Do Not Flush" labels on their packaging. In our 30 years of experience, nothing has been a bigger hurdle to Wastewater Treatment Plants than many types of screens blockages from wipes flushed down the toilet and sewer system clogs caused by improper disposal of consumer wipes that are not intended to be disposed of in toilets. The bipartisan WIPPES Act will curtail these buildups by educating consumers about the dangers of flushing non-dispersible wipes. We thank Dale Kocarek for his informative WEF write-up.
