Partnerships are critical to making tangible change in the communities we serve. We’re proud to partner with L.A. Care Health Plan, yet again, to commit $90M towards supporting our unhoused community members in Los Angeles County.    Through the L.A. County Field Medicine Program and the Skid Row Care Collaborative, people who are experiencing homelessness can get the preventive and coordinated, whole person care they need. They’ll also have access to specialty care and other medically necessary services.    Our Plan Chief Product President, Martha Santana-Chin, said it best: “To address homelessness, support must extend beyond physical housing. It requires whole-person care for these vulnerable individuals. This investment continues to underscore our belief that every person deserves a safety net for their health, regardless of age, income or current state of health. We are excited to partner with L.A. National Health Center Week is a great time to acknowledge the tireless efforts of Community Health Centers (CHCs) who work to improve the lives of individuals and families in our communities. In support of CHCs statewide, Health Net awarded more than $55,000. 🌟 Exciting updates from Health Net and The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF)! This past week, we had the privilege of hosting the Sacramento Institute Program for the California Leadership Fellowship. Since 1999, NHHF has been dedicated to empowering Hispanic physicians through leadership training, with the goal of enhancing health equity across the nation.   🎓 The Fellowship provided a year-long program featuring executive training and public health policy lectures, focusing on Latino health equity at federal and state levels. This year’s participants engaged with key leaders, including the Governor’s office and legislators, exploring pathways to healthcare leadership.   🏆 We wrapped up the institute with a special reception honoring the CA Fellowship Class of 2024. At the reception, NHHF recognized Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, MD, and UC Davis School of Medicine Interim Dean Susan Murin, MD, for their outstanding contributions to healthcare.   🙏 We are proud to have supported this important event and to continue our partnership with NHHF as we work together to advance health equity and build a healthier future for all Americans!
