Herren Wellness is a substance use, mental health, and wellness residential program founded by former NBA basketball player, Chris Herren. Chris saw the need to develop innovative prevention, treatment and recovery solutions that treat the whole individual and every aspect of a person’s life. “I think when it comes to addiction [and other conditions], we put too much focus on the worst day and we forget the first day,” says Herren. The Herren Wellness approach to recovery empowers individuals to go on a journey of self-discovery and recover from physical, mental, and emotional conditions through life coaching, education, fitness, sleep analysis, nutritional guidance and mindfulness strategies.
