HKS is proud to join the Brisbane Design Alliance, which includes Buchan, The NRA Collaborative, Aurecon and Nikken Sekkei Ltd, on the Northshore Vision 2050! With the success of the Olympic Games in Paris, this team is looking ahead to Brisbane 2032 with an innovative proposal to reimagine Brisbane's Northshore to support housing, recreation, Games-ready sports and more.   Our very own Andrew J Colling is HKS' leader on the project and shares the potential this plan will bring to the community. "The vision of the Brisbane Design Alliance is to make Brisbane an even greater city, now and into the future," says Andrew. "A new, world-class stadium at Northshore can be purpose-built for cricket and Aussie Rules while creating a unique Brisbane 2032 Olympics experience and venue to be proud of. Recently, HKS' Angela Lee, FAIA, ACHA, LEED AP, EDAC had the opportunity to present to students of the CEHI — Master of Engineering Project Management in Health Projects at Auckland University. The class learned about the FleXX Framework, an HKS research initiative that is focused on creating adaptable healthcare space that evolve alongside medical advancements. Versatility, modifiability, convertibility and scalability are the four key attributes for the framework. "These principles are essential in ensuring that our healthcare facilities remain responsive to the dynamic challenges of the future," says Angela. Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark was designed to be a flexible multi-use arena that attracts local and international spectators while serving as an urban growth stimulator. HKS' Alex Thomas, a lead architect on the project, shares how the project was the start of something bigger in the area and the inspiration behind the venue's design.   “The Royal Arena isn’t just a standalone venue. It's a crucial part of a larger masterplan vision to create a new neighborhood, in which the arena acts as a catalyst for bringing sustained footfall and enliven the surrounding public spaces in Orestad, Copenhagen. Fueled by the passion our teams have for taking local action and using their design skills to positively influence lives, Citizen HKS is a global change agent. This week, we’re highlighting how Citizen HKS teams are advancing social justice and building a more equitable built environment. In Dallas, where HKS was founded 85 years ago, Citizen HKS has designed spaces that help underserved people thrive including the Dallas 24 Hour Club and The Place at Honey Springs, an in-progress multipurpose community center in the historic Joppa area of South Dallas. Our teams have also dedicated their time to aiding people experiencing homelessness. In Singapore, Shanghai, and throughout the United States we have volunteered with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity in multiple cities, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Lotus House and Camillus House in Miami. In case you missed it, HKS and Perkins&Will are collaborating to design a new pediatric campus for Children's Health in Dallas, TX. The new campus will be known as one of the largest, most transformative pediatric hospitals in the nation.    D CEO Healthcare recently featured the project, interviewing leaders from each firm, to shine light on the hospital's design and how these two teams are joining forces to create a healthcare facility like no other. HKS' very own Rachel Saucier Knox says, "People are following this project around the world. We’ve received inquiries from current and prospective clients saying, ‘What are y’all doing in Dallas?
