We are pleased to announce our Managing Director: Welcome, Sebastian Schaefer! Dr. Sebastian Schäfer is an esteemed expert in entrepreneurship, financial technologies, and innovation. He formerly served as the Managing Director of Fintech Community Frankfurt GmbH, where he successfully co-founded and led TechQuartier for the past eight years. He brings a wealth of national and international experience, particularly at the intersection of the public and private sectors. Starting September 1st, he will work with the HoFT initiators to further develop and elevate the German Finance and Tech ecosystem from its capital Berlin. We are excited about this partnership. We officially opened our (first) hub! Yesterday, we celebrated the official launch of our HoFT.Berlin office at Spielfeld Digital Hub alongside Michael Biel, State Secretary in the Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises, BaFin President Mark Branson, N26 Chief Risk Officer Carina Kozole, and many more supporters and community members. This is not just the start of our first hub, but also the foundation of the HoFT.Berlin Community. Our mission is to bring together leaders from fintech, politics, and banking across Berlin, creating a collaborative space for mutual support and knowledge-sharing on topics like regulation, growth, financial literacy, and many more.
