11 years ago this was the conversation. 11 years later I think we are still there if not further. I would just add Hip Hop Soul as the vibe. Pop-Up Urban Music Symposium September 21st in Huntsville, Alabama | #LinerNotes

💡 B E H I N D - T H E - N U M B E R S / / During our first year in publication (2022), we met with a local ad agency that was curious about our digital stats. We really wanted to partner with them because they had a group of advertisers we had been trying to connect with. They wanted to know how much of our traffic was from organic search vs. direct and paid. At the time, we were barely generating 10K monthly visitors, and our paid search traffic comprised the majority of our traffic. They didn't give us the time of day. 😖 Contrast that with today's numbers. Our monthly traffic consists of 40,000+ unique visitors and 69% organic search traffic! (We have invested heavily in SEO for every article we publish, and it shows!) I plan to reach back out to share our numbers. Maybe they'll pay attention. Why does this even matter? Well, before we started Huntsville Magazine, we interviewed local business owners and identified a gap in the market. Here's what we heard: "There are existing print magazines serving businesses in Huntsville, but they have a weak social and digital presence. Also, there are strong digital and social-focused websites serving Huntsville with zero print presence. It would be nice to have a popular print magazine with a strong digital and social media presence. It's taken us three years, but we're excited to share that we have become THAT unicorn in Huntsville. Not only do we offer a beautiful print product with broad distribution, but we also have an equally strong digital and social media presence. 📈 Here are the Stats: ✨ Google Search Impact: In just 28 days, we've achieved an incredible 13,000 clicks! This shows the power and reach of our content, driving organic traffic to our site. 🔍 Traffic Breakdown: - 69% of our visitors find us through organic search, highlighting our strong presence on Google. - 27% of traffic is direct, showing our loyal audience is consistently coming back. - 2% of traffic is from organic social, demonstrating the impact of our social media engagement. 👥 New Users: We've welcomed a whopping 41K new users in the past 28 days! Plus, 21K returning users spend an average of 54 seconds on our site. (According to MetricHQ, the industry standard for our category is 52 seconds.) 📱 Social Media: We have 12,900 followers on Instagram with a reach of 91,000. Our vibrant community is growing daily, and our posts are resonating widely. 📣 Why Advertise with Us? With our extensive reach and dedicated audience, Huntsville Magazine is the perfect platform to elevate your brand. Tap into our engaged community and get your message out to thousands of potential customers. Ready to grow with us? Contact us today to learn more about our advertising opportunities! Inspired by her late husband’s grandmother, Mrs. Ivo Sparkman, who began painting at 65, Shepard picked up a brush at 46 and hasn't looked back since. “I have always loved color, and all my life I thought I was really seeing it in the world — in trees and flowers and people — but once I started painting, I really started looking, and I realized I hadn’t actually been seeing at all,” she shares. 📖 Learn more about Pamela Shepard and read the full article: #HuntsvilleMagazine #PamelaShepard #LocalArtist #Inspiration #OilPainting #ArtCommunity #NeverTooLate #HuntsvilleArt #HuntsvilleAL https://lnkd.in/g7uFT83N
