Another major success for our technology and team this week as our first U.S. 200kW pilot Class 8 tractor truck built with production parts and processes rolled off the line at Fontaine Modification Company Charlotte, NC, modification center. This milestone confirms Hyzon is on track toward 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Start of Production (SOP) as we now have all the necessary equipment, documentation and processes in place to start production. This transition -- and one of the final steps toward SOP -- marks the end of prototype vehicle production and reinforces our strategy of third-party assembly collaboration. #FCEV #Hydrogen #FutureEnergy

It’s clear the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is all-in on hydrogen – another $62 million awarded to 20 projects across 15 states to accelerate a hydrogen economy in the U.S.!   The impact of these funds stretches beyond the companies to which they are awarded, supporting so many players in the growing U.S. hydrogen ecosystem and motivating investment from private companies.   Two special shout-outs to two of the awarded projects, which will help Hyzon fleet customers and the broader market in expanding much-needed hydrogen refueling capacity and technology: ZEV Station, awarded $10m for innovative refueling technology and Linde, awarded $10m for a heavy-duty truck fueling station design using pipeline hydrogen delivery in LaPorte, TX.   It’s an exciting time – and the right time – to be in the hydrogen industry!

Blue skies and silent rides were out in full force at yesterday’s Harbor Trucking Association Ride & Drive event at the Port of San Diego. We celebrated the more than $1B in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funding and $11B in private investment in the ARCHES H2 with Under Secretary for Infrastructure David Crane, Gov. Gavin Newsom and Sen. Alex Padilla.
