We were grateful to be with partners and collaborators from around the country this week to think big about securing equitable change for #StudentParents. Thanks to American Council on Education for creating the space to dream together. #StudentParentMonth
What do we do when #highered is asked to do things it wasn't designed for? Redesign, of course! This week, the American Council on Education with the generous support of Imaginable Futures convened student parent advocates from across the country to do just that. Thank you all for sharing your bold ideas and prototyping them with us! Now, it's time to get to work building better postsecondary systems for student parent social and economic mobility 💪 (not today, though, I'm spent 😴😆) #studentparents #studentsuccess #getstuffdone

It is with joy and inspiration that I finally get to introduce our 2024 The Aspen Institute Ascend Fellows! These 22 leaders are committed to transforming the systems that our young children and their families experience, focusing on big ideas like: - Ensuring new parents, children, and their families have access to mental and behavioral health services, - Applying lessons from #Indigenous communities to home visiting and well-being across the lifespan, - Building family stability to help keep families together and children out of child welfare systems, and - Expanding #guaranteedincome and other sources of capital, so families can determine their own paths. By embracing the power of change capital – financial, intellectual, human, and social capital – they are making the world work for children and families. #diadaamazonia
