Together, we're making daily improvements to run our operations smoothly while meeting the needs of our customers. Our continuous improvement work involves every employee in understanding, supporting and achieving our goals which led to significant gains in productivity, quality and overall operational efficiency for our company. To date, more than 155 Ingevity employees have earned a Continuous Improvement Yellow Belt, and 30 employees are in the process of, or have earned, their Green Belt. 

On July 24, employees at our Greenville, Alabama, plant hosted their first blood drive to address the urgent need for donors this summer. Thanks to their generosity and compassion the team collected 19 pints of blood which exceeded their goal and has the potential of saving 57 lives. Kudos to the team for selflessly helping others! #IngeviCares 

Employees at our Wickliffe, Kentucky, facility recently sold hot dog lunches and donated the funds to Ballard County Family Focus’ Back to School Bash providing shoe vouchers for students in need. The team also collected school supplies for the United Way of West Kentucky’s Stuff the Bus campaign. Thank you to the team for supporting two wonderful organizations focused on school readiness.

Safety is no compromise at Ingevity. During the National Safety Council's National Safety Month in June, our facilities around the globe reinforced and celebrated our positive safety culture with hands-on training, safety and health fairs, barbeques, fish fries and increased engagement to enhance safety education. Did you know Ingevity provides activated carbon for use in silicon-based anode materials? Ingevity's core project team recently led a strategy meeting in North Charleston, South Carolina, to review best practices and align on next steps for our activated carbon used to improve the performance of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and consumer electronics. #PurifyProtectEnhance

Our Covington, Virginia, Performance Materials plant manager, Amela Morgan, has been honored with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Employee of the Year Award for her exceptional contributions to driving safety and sustainability at Ingevity. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who exemplify the highest standards of environmental, health and safety performance. Congratulations to Amela for a job well done!
