Our fearless leader Nabil D. spoke with Omar M. Khateeb on the State of Medtech podcast about what motivated him to found the International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research. There is a huge knowledge gap between an innovator's initial concept and the final clinical application of a life-saving medical device. This unmet educational need results in wasted time and money, all while patients are suffer from treatable conditions. The mission of the ISCTR is to fill that gap with our amazing educational resources created by the top minds in the fields of medicine, engineering, and research - help us on that mission by following us, sharing our posts, and letting others know about what we do! #cardiac #cardiology #cardiologist #medtech #medicaldevices #medicine #digitalhealth #medicalsales #education #entrepreneurship #AI #device

The International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research (ISCTR) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 by Dr. Nabil Dib with a goal to expedite scientific discovery to clinical application (patients). ISCTR's mission is to provide an environment for collaboration and guidance among academia (basic scientists, clinical scientists), industry, regulatory, and reimbursement agencies, practice guidelines, and patients to expedite scientific discoveries into clinical application. We have created an educational program to assist medical device innovators in bringing their inventions through the translational pathway, from early conceptual stages all the way to patient applications. By helping medical innovators avoid common pitfalls of product development, we aim to reduce the time and cost of device research and development in order to bring lifesaving medical equipment to the patients who need them more quickly than ever.

Very exciting to see how Cleerly is utilizing #AI advancements to improve the benefits of Corononary CT Angiography. The International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research recently held a webinar on the impact of #AI in clinical settings with Cleerly founder James Min, MD as a featured speaker. To hear more about what he and his incredible company are working on, the whole webinar is available to watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/g6wEW_7P Go give James Min, MD and Cleerly a follow - you want to see what they're doing!
I'm thrilled to see the SCOT-HEART trial's remarkable 10-year outcomes showcased at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress. The data is clear: Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) has demonstrated a sustained 20% reduction in death and nonfatal myocardial infarctions over a decade when compared with standard care. This evidence highlights the long-term benefits of CCTA in accurately identifying and managing coronary artery disease. At Cleerly, we share the commitment to advancing cardiac care. Our AI-powered CCTA analysis offers precise measurements of atherosclerosis across the vascular system rather than indirect surrogate markers of disease, aligning closely with the SCOT-HEART findings. We believe that detailed early identification of atherosclerosis enables more personalized and effective treatment plans, ultimately saving lives and improving patient outcomes. Congratulations to Dave Newby AND the SCOT-HEART team for their dedication and for advancing the understanding of CCTA's impact. Your landmark work reinforces our commitment to transforming cardiac care and empowering physicians with the tools they need to deliver the best possible patient outcomes. #yescct #clinicalresearch https://lnkd.in/gMU53B7m
