#ProudToBeTeamKISD: Killeen ISD employees will see an increase in their pay for the 2024-2025 school year, thanks to the compensation plan approved by the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting on Tuesday.    The compensation plan includes an average 4% increase for all non-exempt staff including paraprofessionals and auxiliary staff such as custodians, bus drivers and school nutrition staff. The new starting salary for a beginning teacher will be $58,000. All other professional staff will receive a 3% increase.    “We appreciate the Board of Trustees for their thoughtful discussion and approval of this compensation package,” Jo Ann Fey, superintendent of schools, said. “Our budget was tight this year, but our trustees found a way to reinforce that we value our hardworking, dedicated and talented staff.” #JoinUs: We're hiring for the 2024-2025 school year! #ProudToBeTeamKISD: Killeen ISD welcomed 421 new teachers and other staff members Monday during the annual New Teacher Induction ceremony at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center that begins two weeks of professional development to prepare for the new school year.

Over the past two days, I had the privilege of working with the wonderful educators at Killeen ISD preparing them for a fantastic year with PowerSchool & Schoology Learning. 📚✨ What you don't see in my pictures is that 80% of the learners were elementary teachers. It's truly inspiring to see these dedicated educators eager to implement Schoology to enhance student participation and personalize learning experiences. They learned: 🌟 creating asynchronous content with Schoology 🌟 strategies for meeting the diverse learning needs of students 🌟 ways to digitize their worksheets using Schoology 🌟 using Schoology for designing workstations Thank you Kiree Bons & Kimberly McClish for inviting me! ❤️
