Shares of Hertz tanked and shares of Tesla dipped slightly after the rental car company said it was pulling back on electrification plans citing Tesla price cuts, which hurt the resale value of its fleet EVs, and higher than expected repair costs for its EVs. Some 80% of the EVs in Hertz's fleet are Teslas today.
