As Director of Crisis Services, Sarah Hicks oversees programs that provide 24/7 outreach, intervention and stabilization for Kitsap community members experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Before becoming director, she served as manager of KMHS Crisis Services for four years. She chooses to work at KMHS because of the agency’s dedication to removing barriers and increasing access to quality behavioral health care for vulnerable and underserved communities. “Crisis services is kind of a hot topic right now in Washington State and in our community,” Sarah said. “I’m really excited to bring in new ideas, to empower our teams, to integrate evidence-based practices, and to really take KMHS crisis services to the next level.” #crisisservices #menalhealth #behavioralhealth #nonprofit

We are excited to introduce our new Director of Forensic Programs, Ginger Wotzka. As Director of Forensic Programs, Ginger oversees a team that helps vulnerable people in the criminal justice system work toward restoring competency to participate in their own defense, find housing and work toward recovery. Ginger has extensive experience serving people with complex behavioral health needs, including those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. She chose KMHS because of our commitment to serving community members who often do not have a voice or the resources to advocate for themselves. And because of our determination to break down barriers to access, and creatively push for programs and supports that empower clients. #nonprofit #mentalhealth #behavioralhealth
