With its function of separation internals, the advanced design DEMISTER-PLUS mist eliminator combines the efficiency of the DEMISTER mist eliminator with the high throughput capacity of the VORSOMAX cyclone mist eliminator. The VORSOMAX cyclonic feed inlet device works to drive the high efficiency removal of liquid from vapor, such that the entrainment load to downstream mist elimination devices is reduced. The mist-laden vapor then passes through a horizontally-mounted YORKMESH knitted wire mesh agglomerator, which enlarges the entrained droplets such that they are easier to remove by the downstream mist eliminator. The vapor and remaining mist enter the VORSOMAX cyclone mist eliminator, where the bulk vapor is discharged from the top and the collected liquid is drained. We recently wrapped up an incredible 4-day mass transfer school at Koch-Glitsch in Wichita, KS. Led by our engineering experts, participants engaged with industry professionals through classroom presentations, discussions, and detailed demonstrations, enhancing their understanding of key concepts. Participants explored mass transfer fundamentals, tray and packing design, troubleshooting techniques, and the latest technologies. They also conducted pilot-plant experiments, witnessing how equipment works in real-world scenarios.
