LCEC employees wore their favorite college football gear on Friday in support of the season kickoff!

Supplying LCEC territory schools with what they need is important in our efforts to support the community. LCEC champions initiatives such as supply drives and reading programs throughout the year to help ensure the best for our local educators and students.

National Nonprofit Day (NND) is celebrated each year to recognize the positive impact nonprofits have on communities and the world. Today we celebrate and acknowledge the support LCEC contributes to the community we serve. With one of the cooperative principles being, ‘Concern for Community’ LCEC gives to a wide variety of community endeavors. Whether packing backpacks with school supplies or holding events that raise money for our local United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties, which then gets distributed to over 90 party agencies, LCEC is proud of the ways we support those in need. Protecting the best interests of members, neighbors, the environment, and each other. A special thank you to all nonprofits for all they do!

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on August 13, 2004, Hurricane Charley made landfall as a powerful Category 4 storm. Today marks the 20th anniversary of this devastating event that forever altered the beautiful landscape of Southwest Florida. As we reflect on this day, we also acknowledge the progress and challenges that have occurred in the aftermath of other hurricanes. Where were you on this day 20 years ago?

Each year, summer has the highest rate of reported underground utility damages.
