Earlier this year, Life Science Tennessee worked alongside the Tennessee Rare Disease Advisory Council, The Kennedy Ladd Foundation, Inc. and a coalition of statewide supporters to pass the Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP) alignment for newborn screening in the state. The bill allows for early detection of rare diseases so that prompt treatment can be administered to prevent potential death and disabilities. This success would not be possible without State Senator Becky Duncan Massey and countless supporters across the state.
