What do you call it when you take a friendship to the next level? A new hire! We're talking about Andreas Spitzer—former LivCor consultant/neighbor at Revantage, A Blackstone Portfolio Company/partner at Beam Living—and now our new SVP of Finance Transformation. We're happy to call you a full-time LivCorian, Andreas! 🤩    A seasoned finance leader with broad experience across public accounting, investment banking, and senior management roles, Andreas has brought so much to our team (and continues to add value to our portfolio). Plus, every now and then he writes a new song for us to listen to. Say goodbye and stop the jams? Never! 

Numbers worth bragging about! 🌟 But we know the real value of engagement surveys is in the reported areas of opportunity—where we can be doing better today than yesterday. This summer, 99% of LivCorians gave honest, transparent feedback about their experience working here. We are grateful to work alongside people who care so much and make time to share their thoughts, because we can't be the best place to work unless we know how our humans are feeling. So, now what? Kinsey Sale goes by a number of titles: book club president, tennis lover (see what we did there?), Mom/professional chauffeur to her three kids... and now LivCor's SVP of Asset Management, East Region. We’re thrilled to welcome Kinsey to the team! With over 17 years of real estate experience—focused on managing commercial and residential assets across all major East Coast metropolitan areas—Kinsey has the expertise and know-how to help drive us into the future as a leader in our industry. As kids head back to school, LivCor parents are balancing a lot. How do they do it? We asked Ian Deason, whose children are starting 6th and 8th grade this year— "Balance is really hard, and there is no one-size-fits-all perfect solution. I think it's important to prioritize consistent, small moments with your kids every day—like breakfast, or dinner, or dropping them off at school—and then let your colleagues know that you're reserving that time to be present at home, not at work. People who care about you as a human will respect those time blocks, so then the only thing you have to worry about is that your kids might not want to set their phones down and hang out with you. (Teenagers!)" We believe in a life-filled career, not a career-filled life. From strategy meetings to parent teacher conferences; driving results then driving to afterschool pick up; creating great places to live while creating great brown bag lunches. ✏️ 🚌 🥪 So, to the moms and dads whose to-do lists doubled in length because of back-to-school season (for real!)—make time to find those small moments this month. You've got this!

What fills your cup? (Literally and metaphorically, of course.)🥤 Today is #NationalInternDay, so we asked our interns what they’re sipping on and what brings them joy outside of work.    The LivCor kitchen might have the best beverage selection this side of the Chicago River, but what really fills our cup is working with talented, inspiring, hardworking interns like ours all summer long. On #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay, we celebrate the resilience of non-binary individuals around the world and remember the importance of visibility, acceptance, and inclusion for all gender identities. At LivCor, we start by honoring our humans’ preferred pronouns. Not every person feels their identity falls into one of the two binary genders (man or woman). Many people feel they identify with parts of both, or they are fluid between the two, or they may not identify with either at all. Being open about your preferred pronouns (in your email signature, when meeting someone or kicking off a call, etc.) benefits everyone for one simple reason: it normalizes discussions about gender. Non-binary people have always existed and made significant and meaningful contributions to our communities, workplaces, and cultures. By recognizing and respecting their identities, we foster a more inclusive and equitable world for everyone.
