🔔 🎗 To begin #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth we’d like to introduce Patient Hero Patrick! Patrick began his oncology journey in 2021 and started treatment at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in 2022. “He felt at ease in the hospital, and they worked hard at getting his medications just right so he could be at home as much as possible,” says Patrick’s mother, Jimena. Each time Patrick underwent a difficult aspect of treatment, he earned a Beads of Courage, Inc. to add to a string. By the time Patrick rang the Golden Bell at the conclusion of his treatment in March 2024, he had earned 1,500 beads. 🎗️This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month we are ALL IN on fundraising for pediatric cancer research to remember and honor kids like Sara. 💛 Sara was a passionate, loving 7-year-old who positively impacted the lives of so many around her through her optimism and loving spirit. Even after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 5, Sara took great pleasure in being kind and helping others, and always brought a smile to the face of everyone around her through her love of singing and dancing. Join us in honoring Sara and other pediatric cancer patients by Cycling for Kids Cancer on September 21 @ 4pm to raise critically needed funds for research at the Stanford University School of Medicine. If you can’t join us, you can still donate to support. https://tr.ee/3mECYmfbRl #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth

Meet Tyler, a brave heart patient who first arrived Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford when he was 2 days old. Despite the many challenges he's faced over the years with multiple open-heart surgeries and countless appointments, Tyler has never fallen behind academically, thanks to the incredible support of our Hospital School. Now he is beginning a new school year with a new heart! His mom, Jennie, describes the Hospital School as "a wonderful resource where he can take a break from his medical journey and find educational outlets. The students are treated with the utmost respect and support." 📚✨ As we celebrate 100 years of supporting young learners at the Hospital School, we’re aiming to reach 100 donors. From now until August 30, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. That means double the impact for kids who need it most—helping provide books, art supplies, and other essentials that let them focus on being kids. Your generosity makes it possible for kids like Tyler to keep learning and thriving, even in the hospital. Let’s make a difference together! Donate today to ensure that no child falls behind in school, no matter what they’re facing. Link to Donate: https://tr.ee/RdJRo3OGFy 🎒❤️
