In honor of WishMaker Johnny Gaudreau ⭐ Johnny was a beloved member of the Make-A-Wish community who granted many wishes and brought so much joy to wish kids. Just last year, Johnny granted Alex's wish to meet him. Alex traveled all the way from Make-A-Wish Canada, New Brunswick, to meet Johnny and we're honored to share this video of their day together and the visible joy that Johnny brought to our community. As school starts back up, we’re reminiscing about all the incredible wishes to “go” we granted this summer! 14-year-old Jojo wished to go to Hawaii to experience the beautiful island sunrises and sunsets he’d seen in pictures. As you can see in this photo, his wish came true. He got to watch the sun set and rise each day during his wish, and his mom told us, “It was the best vacation we ever had!” We’re grateful to generous supporters like you for helping us bring such big smiles to the faces of kids like Jojo. This week, 5-year-old Elly's wish for a turquoise playhouse (with a slide!) came true. Elly was born with a respiratory disorder and has spent much of her young life in the hospital and undergoing treatment. She wished for a playhouse so she could have a safe and fun place to relax, color, and play with her little sister. Volunteers from the community and our corporate partner, Big I Kentucky, helped decorate her playhouse and fill it with toys, books, and art supplies.
